Talks are presented by trained volunteer peer educators who are also over 50 years of age. $82 Million Boost in Support for People with a Disability – ADHC

imageThe NSW Government has today announced the introduction of Ability Links NSW, an $82 million five-year commitment to expand support services for people with a disability, their families and carers. NSW Ageing Strategy submission – NSW Aboriginal Gathering Committee

imageThe NSW Aboriginal Community Care Gathering Committee made a submission on the NSW Ageing Strategy focused on the needs of older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Key issues raised included the need for aged care services to remain available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from age 45, the need to acknowledge the roles of elders, and older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ needs around transport.
